Yuri is a major antagonist in the Command & Conquer: Red Alert video game series. Westwood's original concept for the third game in the Tiberium subseries of Command & Conquer, Incursion, was going to use the character to bridge the gap between the Tiberium and Red Alert continuities.

Yuri was Kane's minion who gained mind-control powers. Eventually, he was placed in stasis in Area 51.
C&C3: Incursion[]
When GDI attempted to retrieve the only remaining set of Screaming Eagle armor from Area 51, they came into conflict with Nod. During their battle, a Chronosphere would be activated and create a chrono vortex that would suck Yuri into the past, sending him into the XX century, where he would eventually become affiliated with Soviet government, leading to another war with the Allied Powers. It would thus be revealed that Yuri's arrival into the past created a point of divergence after Red Alert, with one timeline leading to Tiberium Dawn and the other to Red Alert 2.
