Tucker Wells was supposed to be the main antagonist in season six of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Originally appearing as a one-shot villain in season three's "The Prom" he was set to return for the show's sixth season as the leader of The Trio, a group of hapless supervillains made up of himself, Warren Mears and Jonathan Levinson. Plans had to change however thanks to Tucker's actor Brad Kane being unavailable for filming, leading to Warren taking over his role as the main villain and a younger brother for Tucker named Andrew being written in as the third member of The Trio.

He was intended to be portrayed by his original actor Brad Kane.

Season 6[]

A few years following his initial defeat at Buffy's hands, Tucker would have formed The Trio alongside Jonathan Levinson and Warren Mears, fellow ex Sunnydale High students and nerds who had their own run-ins with Buffy Summers (in Jonathan's case after he cast a spell to alter everyone's minds into believing he was a popular and charismatic hero and in Warren's after he abandoned his robot girlfriend April and she run amuck in Sunnydale).

From here it's likely his role would've been much the same as Warren's was in the final product albeit less comedic since unlike Warren, Tucker was malicious and near irredeemable from the start. Throughout the season he would've sent several demons after Buffy and the Scooby Gang in an attempt to kill her and prove himself as her archenemy, something that would eventually climax in a humiliating defeat which would lead him to flee from her before being caught by the authorities. The following morning he would show up to Buffy's house with a gun and attempt to kill her, injuring her and killing Tara Maclay in the process, triggering the wrath of Willow Rosenberg and causing her to spiral into her magic addiction and become Dark Willow.

After being warned that Willow was hunting him down Tucker tried to skip town before being cornered by Willow in the woods and having his skin ripped off by her, killing him. Dark Willow's rampage was later stopped by Xander Harris talking her down and comforting her over her grief induced insanity.

Trivia[]

  • Although it's been confirmed that if the original plans came to light, Tucker's role would've been pretty much the same as Warren's during season 6, it's unknown if as in future canon material such as Warren's relationship with Amy Madison and revival at her hands in the season 8 comics would apply to him as well.
