Scratch and Grounder were set to be secondary antagonists of the cancelled Sonia the Hedgehog TV series. They are Dr. Robotnik's bumbling robot henchmen who were left behind on Mobius as their creator left to take over the galaxy. They started working for Robotnik's twin brother Grotty, who managed to make them more effective than before, and fighting Sonia the Hedgehog and Quilley.
Biography[]
After Sonic and Robotnik left Mobius for space, they both left their siblings behind to finish their business on Mobius. Robotnik's twin brother, Grotty, was put in charge of Scratch and Grounder, and turned the bumbling Badniks into a somewhat more serious threat than they used to be.
Trivia[]
- Sonia would eventually appear in the Sonic Underground TV series, but Scratch and Grounder didn't make the cut. Robotnik still had two bumbling henchmen, namely Sleet and Dingo, somewhat resembling them in dynamic.
