Sandman would have been the main antagonist of the Kids WB animated series Boogies after its 2004 pilot. He would have been voiced by Steve Blum as in the pilot.
History[]
Sandman was a high ranking boogie and wannabe stand up comedian. No one liked his jokes and he turned evil. He left the NightStand and made a Sanditarium where he hires beings that disrupt children’s sleep including Dust Bunnies, the Tinkle Bug and a Sock Monster.
Armed and Dangerous[]
Sandman reads a copy of “Stand-Up Weekly” and overhears Tweeter ordering a subscription for “Arms Magazine”, which gave him an idea. He mails two arms to Tweeter at the Nightstand, which made Tweeter sabotage the Nightstand. The arms were removed and they had a switch that makes them “evil”. Sandman gets a package marked “comedy kit” and as he opens it, the arms burst out with spray seltzer and blast him in the face.
Eye for an Eye, Tooth for a Karaoke Machine[]
Sandman learned about Captain Wiltz giving Neebish, Pokeynose and Tweeter the duties of the Tooth Fairy because she got sick. He realizes that the boogies will be carrying around a ton of money that he could use to buy a karaoke machine he’s been dreaming about. Sandman meets the three boogies at a bedroom disguised as the Tooth Fairy. He did a horrible impression of the old lady and tricks them into handing over the sack of money. As he exits the room, he encounters the real Tooth Fairy. He reveals they are related when he referred to her as “grandma” and the two exit with the Tooth Fairy relentlessly chastising him.
Dustin’ for Bunnies[]
The Sandman came up with Dust Bunnies which are a cross between under the bed dust and laundry eating night bunnies. The bunnies watered Pokeynose’s eyes and clogged his nose, causing him to sneeze a powerful sneeze.
Gettin’ Up[]
Sandman hired a creature that paints the faces of dolls and teddy bears to look menacing and give children nightmares.
Imaginary Enemies[]
The Sandman realized that the imaginary friends of little kids have nothing to do at night while they sleep. He recruited them as personal henchmen. He convinced them that the Boogies are trying to steal their gig and move in on their territory and explained to the imaginary friends how to dismantle the Boogie infrastructure. The bruised up imaginary friends realized that Sandman is responsible for the mess and the Boogies and imaginary friends unite against him.
