Ryoba Aishi is the main protagonist of the unfinished stealth action video game, Yandere Simulator in 1980s Mode, and the overarching protagonist of its sequal 202X Mode. She is the mother of Ayano Aishi, who she manipulated into being just like her and therefore being responsible for the main events.

History[]

Ryoba was born in 1971 in Japan, to Ayano's grandmother. Like all members of the Aishi family, Ryoba was incapable of feeling emotions. Because Ryoba's father was mind-broken by his wife, it was mainly Ryoba's mother that raised her. However, the former didn't have to kill anyone for her Senpai, so she could only teach Ryoba the basics of being a Yandere. Because of this, Ryoba had to teach herself many things, including how to put a facade to make herself seem like a normal girl, potential ways to eliminate her rivals, etc.

According to Ryoba's monologue at the beginning of 1980s Mode, she had been having the same dream for as long as she could remember. She met a boy, fell in love with him, married him, had a family, and lived happily ever after. When she entered Akademi, she had found the boy from her dreams, Jokichi Yudasei. Because of this, she thought that her dreams were showing Ryoba her destiny, and that she was meant to be with this boy. She eventually noticed that Sumire Saitozaki had a crush on Jokichi, as well. So on April 1st, 1989, Ryoba killed Sumire in the third floor east girls' bathroom with a knife, cleaned up all of the evidence, disposed of Sumire's corpse, and left school.

Unfortunately, a single drop of Sumire's blood had been found in the bathroom, which led to a police investigation of it. This attracted the attention of a Journalist, who decided to investigate the matter. The headmaster of Akademi, Kocho Shuyona, refused to give him permission to enter school grounds, so the Journalist stands outside the school gates in every day, looking for suspicious activity.

Ryoba realized that she should probably avoid resorting to direct murder again, and eliminated all ten of her rivals in various way, lethal and non-lethal. After Week 10, she was about to confess to Jokichi, but was stopped by the Journalist, and was arrested and taken to court. Ryoba managed to manipulate the court into believing that she was innocent and that the Journalist only accused random girls of crimes just to boost his own career, completely destroying his reputation and making both of them big public figures on TV.

After the court case, Ryoba was afraid Jokichi would reject her because of what happened on TV, and so she kidnapped him and tied him up in her basement. Unlike with her mother, Ryoba did not mind-break Jokichi like her mother did with her father. Instead, she kept him tied up for a while until she was 100% sure that he wouldn't run away.

Later, on April 1st 2004, Ryoba gave birth to her daughter, Ayano Aishi, who was also emotionless. Although Jokichi was concered, Ryoba wasn't at all and she told Ayano that she would eventually meet someone that would complete her. Ryoba also subtly taught her daughter things, such as how to clean up blood and hide bodies.

Before Week 1 of 202X Mode starts, Ryoba tells her husband that they are heading to the USA to get revenge on the Journalist, who had already fled to America a few hours before. Jokichi eventually agrees after worrying about what his daughter would do by herself.

Trivia[]

  • If Yandere Simulator is finished in the future, Ryoba (alongside other characters) will likely be moved to the Villains Wiki.
  • Of all yandere characters in fiction since she has a page in Near Pure Evil Wiki. Ryoba is one of the most evil and ruthless yandere characters in fiction since the majority of them are Inconsistently Heinous or Villainous Benchmark since most of them either have redeeming qualities, their acts are too standard and/or their antics are played for laughs often.
