Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon is the main protagonist of Ninjago series. However, he was to become the series' final antagonist in one of the proposed endings for it, becoming consumed with darkness out of grief.
Like in the final project, he would be voiced by Sam Vincent.
Biography[]
The show's producer Tommy Andreasen revealed in an interview given to The TTV Channel that in the original ending for the final season, Crystalized, Lloyd's father Garmadon would die for real unlike in the final ending where he survived. Lloyd would be consumed by grief as a result and morph into his Oni form, then use it instead of the Golden Weapons transformed into Golden Ultra Dragon to destroy the Overlord. He would, however, let his dark powers corrupt him and take Overlord's throne and proceed to fight the ninja. He would eventually be defeated with the help from Nya, who was still bound to the ocean in this ending, returned to his original form and turned good again.
Trivia[]
- After the release of Crystalized, many fans complained that Lloyd's short usage of his Oni form makes the buildup to him mastering it seem wasted. Ironically, had this version of ending been kept, Lloyd's concerns about his Oni powers' destructive nature would turn out to be justified.
