Johnny Lightfoot is a supporting character in the Sonic the Comic comic book series and a heroic Freedom Fighter. However, he was originally supposed to have turned evil in one fo the story arcs, assuming the identity of Agent X.
History[]
Originally, Lew Stringer planned to reveal the mysterious villain Agent X's true identity to be Johnny Lightfoot. The most likely explanation for him betraying the Freedom Fighters to Robotnik would be growing tired of fighting. Nigel Kitching, however, was against it, as he felt that Johnny was "too nice of a guy" to turn evil. As such, the storyline was changed to have Johnny get captured and impersonated by Agent X, who was actually an alien from the Shadow Dimension, with the real Johnny appearing at the end of the arc.
