The Gorilla was set to be an antagonist of the video game Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex. He is a gorilla, presumably a mutated one, who commands a tribe of monkeys and would have kidnapped Coco at the start of one of the levels.
Biography[]
As Coco entered a level, she was almost immediately captured by the gorilla. The gorilla put the bandicoot in a cage, and explained that he was going to throw her into a volcano. Crash would have to traverse the level and save his sister from the gorilla.
Ultimately, the gorilla and his part in the game's plot were both cut from the game.
Personality[]
The gorilla appears to be sadistic, as he laughed at Coco when it was clear that she was afraid of him, and didn't mind dumping her into lava. His motivation for this is unknown, although it's possible that he was acting on Cortex's orders or was offering Coco as a sacrifice to an object of worship.
