Elias Voorhees is the father of Jason Voorhees and originaly appeared during the ending of "Jason lives".

Early on development of Freddy vs. Jason, an ultimately unused idea involved Jason Voorhees' father being revealed as none other than Freddy Krueger. However, such idea was nixed as it looked too similar to the plot twist that Katherine was Freddy's daughter in Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare.
