Don Crumlin is a minor antagonist in Pixar's 12th full-length animated feature film Cars 2. He is a Lemon who is a member of the Gremlin family, working with Professor Zündapp.

Biography

Cars 2

He was first seen working at the Lemon Oil Rig. Once an agent named Finn McMissle was caught spying on the Lemons' plans, Don Crumlin and many of the other Lemons came chasing the agent trying to abduct him.

Cars 2: The Video Game

In Cars 2: The Video Game, several purple Gremlins identical to him appear in Attack and Hunter mode as cars that the player has to destroy. They can shoot missiles or machine guns, putting them in the hard difficulty.

Personality

Like all the other Lemons, Don Crumlin is a cold-hearted terrorist who would do anything for a quick buck.

He is also very sadistic for attempting to abduct Finn McMissle with all the other Lemons at the Oil Rig.

Weaponary and Gadgets

In Cars 2 The Video Game Don Crumlin has two weapons to attack in the Hunter and Attack modes:

• Machine Guns: He and his versions only use their machine guns when he attacks the player.

• Missile Guns: He and his versions only use their missile guns to hurt the player.

• His diecast incorrectly depicts him with green eyes.
• According to his diecast, his license plate reads WREKD, which is short for "wrecked" which is the same as Grem's and Tyler Gremlin's plates.
• On some websites, he is called "Russ Gremlin."
• In Cars 2: The Video Game, several purple Gremlins identical to him appear in Attack and Hunter mode as cars that the player has to destroy. They can shoot missiles or machine guns, putting them in the hard difficulty.
• Don Crumlin is one of only three lemons whose last name isn't his make or model, the others being Stefan Gremsky and Jerome Ramped.
• Don Crumlin is named after animator Don Crum.
• Don Crumlin is the only Lemon whose surname isn't that of his make and model (interestingly enough, Fred Pacer was once known as Fred Fisbowski, and Petrov Trunkov was once known as Petrov Oilski).
• He is a 1974 AMC Gremlin X.
• In the film, a Gremlin similar to him is seen, but with a darker purple, so he didn't actually appear in the movie at all.
• Like Roger Wheeler, his car-pun name is used as a normal human name.
• If Don Crumlin falls into the water in Attack or Hunter Mode, he will have Acer's scream.
• In the game's files, he is known as "Gremlin Purple".
• Due to a Glitch in the PC and Wii version of the game, his eyes and mouth doesn't move, same with Hugo, Trunkov, Tyler Gremlin, Explosive Truck and Orange Pacer.
• Don Crumlin, Tyler Gremlin and Grem share the same licence plate "WRKED", an abbreviation of "wrecked".
• Don Crumlin and Tyler Gremlin share the same facial expression in the PC and Wii version of the game.
• In the easy mode of the Hunter Challenge, Grem does not appear, only Acer appears, the gremlins that appear are Don Crumlin and Tyler Gremlin.
• When decompiling the "carsinfo.lua", Don Crumlin's own weapon is the RC Skate, but he uses machine guns in the Hunter Challenge and the Attack Mode.
• He is a playable character in the mods.
