Denethor is a minor antagonist of an early version of the Academy Award winning film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. He would have been played by John Noble.

In a flashback sequence, the greedy Steward of Gondor ordered his favorite son Boromir to get the One Ring as a weapon for Gondor.
Trivia[]
- The flashback he and his two sons appear in were cut from the theatrical version due to pacing. This was restored for the 2003 Extended Edition.
