The Clock Tower is an antagonist in the video game Epic Mickey that went through a few changes during development. In the finalised version of the game, it serves as a boss of the "Small World" boat ride.
History[]
Early concept art shows the Clock Tower was much larger and loomed over the ride it is found in. The original idea to defeat the clock in battle was for Mickey Mouse to climb up the tower and destroy a gramophone playing inside of it as the music was driving the clock crazy. Although the idea was unused, the Pins earned in the released game by defeating the Clock Tower still reference this early method. The song "It's a Small World" was also meant to play with lyrics throughout the boss battle but developers were unable to require permission to used the choirs, resulting in a instrumental version of the song being played instead. Game files reveal the Clock Tower was supposed taunt Mickey during the fight; possessing unique taunting animations and even has lines of voice acting recorded. However, neither are used in the finalised version of the game.
