Annihilus is a planned antagonist in Fant4stic, before got cut very early in the film’s development.
Annihilus is the ruler of the Negative Zone, where he captured Victor Von Doom during his exploration alongside Reed Richard, Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm. However, Annihilus got killed by Doom during his time in Negative Zone.
Appearance[]
Josh Trank envisioned him as a creature, described him as a “pissed off cybernetic T-Rex”, designed him as a six-limb dragon creature with skeleton wings. Another version depict him with the look of a giant serpent. Annihilus also lacking his iconic green and purple look.

Jeremy Slater’s script[]
In Jeremy Slater’s early draft of the film, Annihilus is the ruler of Negative Zone (change to Planet Zero in the final film), capturing Doom during his exploration with Reed, Ben and Johnny. However, Annihilus got killed by Doom during his time in the Negative Zone.

- The reason why this character was cut was due to the script being overly expensive. Annihilus requires tones of CGI to make it appear on screen.
- Annihilus was also planned in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Guardians of the Galaxy. Vol.3, as the creator of Rocket Racoon. However, James Gunn changed it to the High Evolutionary. As of this writing, there are rumors Annihilus is being planned as the main villain of the MCU's next saga.
